| Been interested in one for a while, who was the vendor selling these under 700 bucks sometime early this year? Probably long gone but i have to ask anyway. Alot of people seem to over price these. 750 is a good deal too right? |

I love mine, but be prepared to clean the shit out of it every time you shoot it if you use corrosive ammo. If all else fails I got mine through PK90 / arms n ammo. It would prolly be more than you want though after the ridiculous transfer fees and such. I refuse to shoot corrosive ammo anyway, shit is disgusting. What are PK90s transfer fees? Isnt it like 40 bucks? |

his fees are very reasonable compared to some of the others around.....atleast you don't have to put up with their attitude.....pk90 is a top notch ffl one of the best i have used and an all around great guy.... agreed, id pay even if it was higher than the rest due to the fact that he is a respectable member of this website. Hes a nice guy |

Love my PSL, got it 1 year back for 720 after all the transfer and fees. Thing is sick. Only problem though is the 147-148grn surplus is running out and could only find 180grn+. Anything over 150grns seems to cause the accuracy to drop a lot. Don't shoot any heavy ball in it. They are designed for light ball ammo and could possibly be damaged with heavy stuff. I'm sure your fine, but I wouldn't shoot any more. AIM has some decent stuff right now. |

If you don't shoot corrosive ammo or you don't reload, you are screwing yourself.
Corrosive ammo just means the primer compound creates a corrosive salt residue...it is easily cleaned with warm soapy water followed up with WD40, and then clean like normal. It gets you in the habit of cleaning your rifles properly and because people are resistant to it, it is still cheap and plentiful (although compared to prices a few years ago, its hard to type that with a straight face). The corrosive salts are not like the toxic waste in Robocop....they are not an issue if you take the basic precautions listed above. Soapy water in an old windex spray bottle costs nothing and most people have WD40 already in their supplies. light ball ammo is the way to go, as stated before. They are a hell of a deal, especially in this gun market... |

The ammonia in the Windex will neutralize the corrosive nitrate salts in the gun powder and primer. Please do not tell my secret to anyone else on this Forum................................................ Iggyort PS- I know you do not believe me so Google it, but remember not a word to any one else ![]() |

However windex does not neutralize the corrosive salt deposits left from the primer compound residue. Windex just flushes the corrosive salts out. So does hot soapy water. Hot soapy water is cheaper than windex, so I use hot soapy water now that my windex container is no longer full of windex. The soapy water acts to help flush the salt deposits off, the hot water aspect just magnifies that flushing aspect. Much like washing a dirty pot or pan in your sink, hot soapy water gets the pots and pans cleaner faster/easier than cold non-soapy water. Whatever you use to flush the salts is fine, I'm just saving money for more ammo/components. |

From AIM what 7.62x54R do you guys prefere? I dont know but im kind of partial to the Hungarian because that has probably been the best I have ever fired. How is the Russian 147grn and the Czech? Czech (light ball/silver tip) works best in my PSL, better than the surplus Russian (Sniper) ammo. Keep in mind that is not what AIM is selling, its just surplus light ball, not 7n1 sniper ammo. It would be a good bet to buy some of each, try it in your rifle and then buy a metric shit ton of whatever works best after your test it in your rifle. |
