This may be a stupid question, but I'm still new at this and wanted to ask the experts on the NYS laws. I currently have a Bushmaster XM-15. I'd really like to get a second upper with a longer barrel to get into competition shooting at a longer distance. I figure a different caliber upper with a longer barrel would be perfect, as well as keep the cost down. I could just swap the uppers around, using the Bushy lower.
Now, from what I know (which isn't much), this is perfectly legal and I shouldn't have a problem doing this. But, I'd like to make sure before I attempt a purchase. Also, I remember reading that it was illegal in NY to own more then one rifle. Am I making this up? I'm positive I am, but figured I'd ask. Thanks for putting up with my stupidity |
