I went to a gun show yesterday in Suffern NY. I was looking at lower receivers to buy so I could build a post ban rifle kit. The guy said he wouldn't sell to me because I was from New Jersey. He said it is against the law to do this because you can make it into a pistol. Is this true because I still really don't see the problem with buying a stripped lower receiver in NJ.

| yeeeeeeeeeeah new fucking bullshit law they just passed. Used to be able to go to any dealer and buy it like it was a rifle. Now you gotta have it transfered to a NJ FFL if you wanna buy it i think, but alot of guys wont even let you. Thats if its an out of state purchase. Correct me if im wrong |

I agree with all the previous members who jumped in on this.
It does seem to a "modified version" of the same old BS. Just so politicians can say at re-election "I banned x amount of "Dangerous and Illegal guns" coming into NJ and off the streets so they can't hurt our children......
5 years ago i bought a stripped lower online and had to have it sent to HARRY's for the transfer. Back then I didn't know any better paid $65 for the transfer. |
