| what kind of ammo is good for the range? does it matter? fmj,sp,hp.? i was thinking of going to calverton range any ammo restrictions? long island area range info appreciated |
You can use tracers, they just don't allow it to my knowledge.  However, if your targets catches on fire, expect to get yelled at.  Also calverton is notorious for having a lot of people sweep the line with their muzzle, and various other unsafe practices. I've never felt in any danger there though, and to my knowledge there has never been an incident. It's not the range's fault if people there are unsafe, it's the individual's. Also the only range open to the general public on LI that lets you use more than a few rounds in a mag. |
