Out of curiosity -

- How difficult is it to get a concealed weapon permit in NY?

- How many of you guys have one?

I assume u mean pistol permit.

Summary

Take course
Get pictures
Get prints
Get references
Fill Out Application in triplicate
Submit
Wait.....anywhere from 2 weeks to a year depending on the county.

That's the general process...I'm sure someone will post all the nitty gritty if you ask.

Some counties have restrictions.  Some do not.

I live in Cattaraugus where all permits are issued with no restrictions...and yep....I have one.

No, for all practical purposes.

The statute actually does allow the issuance of a non-resident permit, but nobody has ever heard of one actually being issued.

The Arena used to get lots of good shows, sadly there are very few now.  My cousins all went to Athens H.S. and I've still got a few relatives in that area.  My Dad grew up in Sayre, PA.

its all relative to the county you live in.  mine i just had to apply for it and got it, no classes or anything else.  if u live closer to the city, its a Pain in teh ass from what ive heard
