After completing Defensive Shotgun with MDTS, I just wanted to say Chris Fry does a great job with his classes; very knowledgeable, very professional. Material is presented clearly, range time is more than ample. You would be hard pressed to find a better instructor, especially in your own backyard.

wade wade wade. You seem to have an odd fixation there, buddy

I certainly enjoyed the class from an assistant's perspective. Plus I got a lot of shotgun range time in before (and a little during) the class!

We are finalizing dates to run CSS1 again in July.  We would also really like to get a date for CSS2 set for later in the summer.

I can't wait to work on bilateral tac and emergency reloads, especially with more dynamic movement added in!

There will be a PILE of MDTS shooting classes coming up this summer.

Yes Wade, you seem to be fascinated with stomping my cubes!

I appreciate the kind words, gentlemen. I am a student first and an instructor second. I have never claimed to have all the answers, just opinions based upon a good deal of experience and lots and lots of pressure testing various theories and concepts. We hold to the "Show me, don't tell me" belief system at MDTS.

What we present/espouse in our classes is multi-disciplinary proficiency and the ability to transition between skill sets as the combative environment and ranges change. This approach prepares students for uncertain eventualities. Having a functional and  realistic personal defense toolbox to draw from in times of need is our top priority.

Hope you all can make it to some of our upcoming courses!

Defensive Edged Weapons 1 & 2 in May

Combative Pistol Skills 3 & 4 in June

Combative Shotgun Skills 1 in July

Combative Carbine Skills 3 & 4 in August

Close Quarter Tactics in Sept or Oct!!!

More fun to come

Actually, in defense of Ad1 he was referring to a Combatives class in which we utilized the Bulletman Suit :

The Bulletman Suit consists of 35lbs of armor myself or one of my AI's wear which allows full power strikes to the head, torso and groin. Sometimes when you knee the groin hard it will hurt your knee a little if your not used to contact.

This equipment allows us to run adrenaline stress scenarios in which students anchor defensive responses practicing the exact event in which they will participate/encounter. This includes striking full force which most conventional training programs fail to address. Few people get the opportunity to strike another human being full force unless they are participating in a sporting event such as boxing, MMA etc.

The B-man suits allow us to train in the most realistic and applicable manner.
