If you seek to join a like minded group who are part of the unorganized militia in you area, I can't be of much help but if you're interested in joining an organized militia in New York, you may consider the New York Guard. Unfortunately, they were put on stand down orders in the middle of 2002 and recruiting has been prohibited citing liability and funding issues until new regulations could be written up. NJNMJC NJNMJC non profit foundation They continue to train monthly with the approval of the state but with no funding or official duties. Six years later the members of the NJNMJC are still waiting for their new regs and orders. "They also serve who only stand and wait" ~ John Milton |
