Is it legal to own a compliant AR15 in this state if the receiver is marked LE and Govt only ?

sure, but it doesn't mean that you wont get hassled at some point. I have a full auto marked receiver but would be slightly hesitant to build it into a ban compliant rifle while in NY...besides...it will be the host for my future RDIAS

AFAIK as long as it's also not marked "Colt AR-15". Unless you really like drama in your life I wouldn't possess one in NYS though. Why bother when there is an unlimited supply of postban unmarked receivers available.

The "coolness factor" of having a "restricted" marked lower is not worth the hassle.
