| I just picked up a shotgun and would like to take it to shoot some skeet or such. Is there any state land in Western NY that is available to shoot on? I don't really want to join another range. |

as far as state land in western NY there is the zoar valley multiple use are south of the city(erie catt county border) and the east otto state forest- the state forest now has sighns limiting areas to no target shooting however. north of buffalo is the oak orchard and tonawanda wildlife management areas in niagara and genesee county many spots there to target shoot. |
