| Just a reminder. I'll be there as usual when the doors open. Can't wait to see how much ammo prices have gone up again. It's good to be a reloader. |
Most likely yes. Lots of ammo and holster dealers are there. |
Good luck!!! I just returned from the show at 9pm tonight and they only had 2-3 people selling 223/556 ammo. The cheapest I saw was $329/1K and went up to $380/1K for Federal 55g. Too rich for my blood. This was my first time at VF. I was disappointed because the show was small than I thought and the variety of items for sale was not that great. I did buy some mags and a survival knife. I wanted to get some 223/556 ammo but passed due to the prices. I can do much better from my source. The only thing that was poorly represented were vendors selling holsters. I was looking for a nice leather IWB holster for my Glock 19 and soon to be H&K P2000 but only one vendor had leather holsters and I passed due to poor quality and selection. I wish I had another hour to walk around, but I got there at 6:30 due to traffic. The one plus was the crowd was very little. I really wanted a Colt 6920, but I live in NJ so that was not going to happen. Ken |
| Well my normal Lady had only 75gr 5.56 and not the Guat 55gr that i bought 2 shows ago.. man im kickin myself in the ass for not buying more at $185 per 1,000rnds... anyway i got one of those cheap $30 cases for my 20" Colt.... 12 Magpulls for $27 which are usually $30 plus shiping at online stores, a G-2 surefire light for $30 and I think there usually $35, and one of those Lula loaders for my 5.56 mags... i forgot to get a set of the Surefire sonic defender ear plugs though... got there at 9:30 am and left around 12:15pm.. i had to get in and out b/c i had work at 3:30pm.... i was going to bring my 1,000rnds of wolf .45ACP polymer to unload but didnt have enough time... |

There was an ammo dealer near the back of the room who had some 308 for sale that was marked as being from an English contract, and the sticker on the can said something about a company in New Zealand. I checked the head stamps on it...its Indian. Its 1970's Indian , which is better than the 1990s stuff, but still it seemed a bit shady to me. Also...M1-Matt..did you shave your goatee? If so, I think I saw you there today. |
That's Charlie from Collector Arms and Ammo in Hopewell Junction, NY. |
yeah grabbed some last year checked the HS and asked for money back he had no probs, good guy. I did end up grabbing 6 boxes of the L1A1 ammo he had and that shoots great! Also picked up 3 SA battle packs from him for $50 bills or so. I also ALWAYS buy one of those little canvas bags he always has.

I couldn't believe Wolf .223 was $114.00 per 500 rounds!! Domestic .223 was out of this world. Even Wolf 7.62 x39mm was $185.00 a case of 1000. I even saw one dealer selling South African .308 battle paks for $74.95!! I stocked up on reloading supplies from T&T. |
