I am going to be traveling thru NY here in a week(Cleveland-Springfield, MA), and was wondering how many tolls there are on INT 90, and the approx cost of them. Thanks |

Here is what the card looks like. There is a picture of it on Wikipedia NYS thruway card |
the 90 has a toll-free section in buffalo, so you'll have to pay when you get there regardless of stopping for a rest. |
| Here is the link for the NYS Thurway Toll and Distance Calculator- hope this helps you Toll & Distance Calculator |
| You pick up a ticket at the Pennsylvania border. You stop to pay a toll near Buffalo. There is then a toll free section around Buffalo. At Exit 50 you pick up another ticket and you can use that ticket all the way till you hit the Mass Turnpike if you don't exit the Thruway. Total tolls will be about $15 if you are in a car with no trailer. Keep your speed under 75 and you shouldn't be bothered. My normal cruising speed is 72 and that seems to work fine. |
there's a booth right before buffalo that you'll have to pay at right around buffalo is free, then leaving buffalo there's a booth right after the 290 where you'd get a new card I think it's a little under $2.00 for the area from the PA/NY line to the booth just before buffalo |

Check your IM AKvsAR - I work in Albany during the afternoon hours, and live just outside of Schenectady (exits 24 and 25 respectfully). Sending you contact info, just in case you run into any unexpected problems. Also have a brother-in-law who works at S&W in case you need help while in MA. |
