After some time, it looks like I've sold a Mini -14 that I had lying around since the AR bug bit.  One question though, the rifle is going out of state to a guy who ownes a gunshop. He gave me his FFL number which checks out via the BATF EzCheck system.  He claims that I do NOT need to send this to him via my local FFL here in NY.  He also stated that the USPO would handle this.  Does this all seem accurate to you guys, I don't want to get myself jammed up here.

You can ship a long gun via USPS to a FFL. Package it securely and ship it priority mail with insurance and delivery confirmation. Do not indicate that the contents contain a  gun on the outside of the package.

If you have a UPS Customer Center in the vicinity you can ship it from there as well. Just follow the instructions here:
