Hey guys, looked around but couldnt find my answer. I have a preban 10/22 and want to make sure its ok to use any high cap mags in it, legally of course. A folding stovk is ok I belive.

Yes.

10/22's were never subject to the Assault Weapons Ban.

Actually it IS affected by the NYS 'ASSault' ban.  The only ones that were not affected by the ban were 'tubular fed' .22 rifles.

As long as the rifle was manufactured before the '94 date, you CAN put a folding stock on it.  However, as to the mags, you'll still need to use PREBAN high caps - ie. Butler Creeks, RamLines etc.   Regular 10/22 10 rounders are just fine of course as well.  If you take a look at any newly manufactured mags from those companies, the packaging does say "Not for Sale in NY"

Anyone know where I might find a few preban 10/22 high caps?
