I have been looking at some NJ legal AKs that also have a non NJ legal underfolding stock. Would the stock have to be welded in the open position to make it NJ legal, or can it be pinned internally, or otherwise altered to make the folding mechanism not work? I would prefer to alter it internally, in a way that could be unaltered in the future if I move out of NJ. I was thinking of something along the lines of leaving out the spring, and/or doing somethng with the internal mechanism pins to make it unable to move. Any thoughts?

The ones I've seen have been internaly pinned. Which is what I will have done to mine when it's built.

Contact Lugerman.  He may be able to help you out.

I was going to pin the Krink SEAK that I acquired, but sold it instead.
