Well I was in PA today so I decided to finally buy a lower reciever.  I told the owner what I wanted and gave him my drivers license figuring this would be no problem.  After 5 minutes of walking around his store he comes out and told me that I'm not allowed to buy one because I live in NYC and there illegal to have.  I explained to him that it's only illegal to bring it into NYC and that it would be kept at a friends house in PA and he asked me to leave.  I'm not going to lie I'm  pretty pissed but what can you do.  So....anyone know anywhere that will sell a stripped lower to a NYC resident?

This is very true and the more I think about it the less angry I am.  It's just annoying that I'm penalized because of where I live.  I've posted on the equipment exchange board so maybe someone will have one close by for a ftf sale.
