Yep, bought myself a .308 thumbhole in NY during the fed ban.  I like it, it's pretty accurate for an AK.

I own two post ban NJ compliant ak variants:  an Arsenal slr-101 and a sam-7 carbine which happens to be my favorite rifle.

LUGERMAN,

Do you know where I could buy blocked AK mags, especially the Bulgarian waffle versions.  I know of only one place that sells blocked AK mags and they only have the steel type.

No one in NJ sells them as far as I know. Not even Sarco.

I got mine at PA gun shows. I block them with a wooded dowel cut to length.

The Phila. Armory show is the weekend of Nov. 12th & 13th. There are two dealers there that usually have them. If you can't make it send me an IM a few days before the show and I'll pick up as many as you want. Expect to pay $20.00 though.

What length do you cut your wood dowels to for your ak mags?
