First match is in the books. Due to poor advertising (don't ask), it was a light turnout with 11 shooters. This match was faster paced and had smaller scoring zones on 3 of 4 stages compared to a "real" CMP match. It was a challenging match, I think.
The top 5 shooters (my usual guys I compete against, and good shots all) posted scores from 387 to 372. One shooter who shall go unnamed thought he was in a groove, phucked up, and placed 5 nice shots on the neighboring target in slow/prone before looking through his spotting scope and couldn't find the shots on his target. Despite that, I still posted a 372
Top shooter used a Bushie DCM AR15. Next 4 used M1As (including board members junkpicker, mforgerer, and yours truly). Also seen where some FALS and an 03A3 Springfield. This was a real nice recent CMP rifle.
Afterwards, I put out some bowling pins for a fun shoot.
Aimless failed to appear. His story is that his alarm didn't go off. Suuurrrrre it didn't!
funny looking penguin--->
Thanks to AKsRule for making the drive from PA. Hopefully more of you guys from the board can attend next time in July. I'll bring the thread BTT next month.
