The last TX get-together I was able to attend was the 2nd to last Hun Farm that was held before Wayne's death. Driving down from IA in a M1010 4X4 military ambulance at 53 MPH took a little while but it was well worth it after all the shooting and shenanigans that ensued during the day and especially at night (Wayne's chair being thrown into the fire, lighting cigarettes off of glowing red suppressors, shooting chem lights thrown into the river below, Windex margaritas, getting buzzed overhead by a member here in a Cessna, dead rattlesnake strung up in a cooler that lunged forward when the lid was opened by unsuspecting person wanting to get a beverage, dead animals being placed in a persons car/suitcase and down a exhaust pipe when the weekend was over...) at the Hun Farm. I'll keep my eyes open for another TX event to try and attend again hopefully next year.
Congratulations Ed Sr on getting out of New York and closer to your family. I remember attending BRC 1 and helping you and "the boys" put up the overhead banner welcoming everyone to BRC 1 there in Nebo, IL. The one thing I remember is that the banner was WAY overhead and every bit of those ladders were stood on to try and get it attached to the entryway. Great event and a great time was had by all...even McUzi.
