Jason passed away on Sunday 12FEB from kidney failure in his apartment. He had been on dialysis for about a year from what I recall.
He was a good guy with good intentions and full of information.

I know a few people are still around in the HTF who knew him both personally and online who might not have heard. Because all of his family is from out of state, the news has spread most quickly throughout the TXSG family.

Rest easy, Jason.

Somewhere there is a guy drinking a beer in an apartment complex parking lot that will rest a little easier.

Yep. He was one of those regulars that made ARFCOM a great place to hang out.

The Texas State Guard thread is about the only thing I can think of.  I don't know what happened though and he's obviously not able to defend himself.

What I remember is that he was one of the first people I met when I moved here and he was the kind of guy that you could be instant friends with. He knew a lot about a lot of different subjects and he was quick to invite people somewhere or include you in something that was going on. He had some hard times after his divorce and he was getting back on his feet with a new job doing IT work. I knew he was on dialysis, but I didn't know his kidney problems had gotten as bad as they apparently were.

He was a good guy. His Uzi was the first machine gun I ever shot and he showed me around town as well as introduced me to other people. I don't have a bad thing to say about him, and I doubt that many people who knew him personally would.

RIP, Nationwide.

"Nationwide" because he worked for JB Hunt and drove all over the US. He was on the road so much, 350+ days one year he told me, he often did not have a permanent home and had to store guns with folks.

I remember the TSG stuff.
The one I'm talking about involved NW ,a member, BOTD forum, pics and a camera.

Sad news. I sure remember his posts, both as Nationwide and Zaminsky, but I remember him most as the member responsible for organizing a one day emergency first aid/trauma class. It's things like that that make ARFCOM such a great place to hang out.

RIP sir.

Just got back from the funeral with a couple other members.

The Texas State Guard had a big turnout for Jason, and his mother and sister came in. They all had stories to tell about Jason, which all described the guy I knew. It was good to be able to reminisce and hear other people talk about Jason.

Rest in peace my friend.

I wasn't able to attend as I had a scheduling conflict. Glad the rest of my TXSG family was there in support.

This is very sad news. I was wondering about NW just a couple of days ago. Didn't know what had happened to him as I hadn't seen him post for at least a year. Hadn't heard him on the ham bands either.

RIP, ol' son.

you know the guy was solid when a lot of "old timers" say nice things.
never knew him personally, but usually liked what he had to say and listened when he said it.

Sad.

I never met him in person, but I do remember him well from his posts here way back when. Haven't heard from him in a while, and didn't realize he was ill. Very sad.

Never knew him as Nationwide only under the Zaminsky handle. Kidney failure, huh? That's lousy. My condolences to all who knew him personally.

Damn... really sorry to hear this. Hadn't been on the main site in quite a while.

I thought about both him (and ETH) last week... NW when I saw his old "Lawrence" profile pic randomly on Facebook, and ETH when I was scrolling through my old Photobucket account and saw some "Paint-shop" stuff I'd done with his face on some money.

Prayers for the departed.

I got a call this morning about a family member committing suicide last night.

Life is too short.
