| Time Warner is now Spectrum. They not only reduced my services, but also increased my bill. Is there any other ISP in the San Antonio area that has decent speed? I am not interested in AT&T. I live in New Braunfels. Thanks. |

I've got Spectrum business class at my new office location. I haven't really beat on it yet, but when I'm there, I'm streaming video for my kids off of it, voip, and using it to send emails off my security cameras. It's the base business package and they keep sending me offers to upgrade for fairly cheap, I just don't need to upgrade right now until I'm set up there full time.

| I still get 116 Mps which is much faster than AT&T. I don't like DSL for internet. Spectrum wanted to raise my fees 480 bucks a year, but I haggled with them and cut out stuff I did not use. It looks like an increase of 110 a year now. I can quit any time and have this price locked in for a year. I will shop around. I wish I could get these guys here, gvtc |

They need to spend money on their infrastructure rather that putting their name on a behemoth we still call the deathstar or jerry world. They only do enough to get by. Both wireless and wired. |

Not available in my area but what does speed like that cost per month? ETA: I'm getting about 10% of that for $74/mo after taxes and fees. |

I just changed from AT&T dsl to Spectrum. I'm paying $47.74 a month for: Ping <1 ms Download: 113.01 Mbps Upload: 10.73 Mbps No bandwidth cap either. ![]() We have AT&T DSL at the ranch, 1TB bandwidth cap, 12Mbps, and that is the fastest available out there. But it beats the heck out of dial-up (which we had for too long before anything better was available). In town, we have Time Warner (now Spectrum), no bandwidth cap, up to 60Mbps, but the fastest speed I have actually tested at is about 30Mbps. But honestly, I have no real complaints about the service from either provider, just wish they were faster. TW (Spectrum) is annoying because they keep trying to get me to sign up for TV. |

I had no bandwidth cap on my AT&T DSL for years...then a few months ago they started charging in 5 gig tiers over some ridiculously low cap. Tops out at like $180 a month. I never used a TB in a month, but I did use a lot. I run my business stuff on my network plus I stream - a lot. ![]() I didn't even know we had a bandwidth limit out there until I just read it a few weeks ago. We have never hit it yet. |

I've had Time Warner forever which of course recently changed to Spectrum. Haven't noticed any change in service or price yet. One thing I have noticed though is Spectrum loves to spam their customers nonstop with ads for more/different services that they offer, both through email and regular mail.
On nextdoor.com it seems like a lot of people in my neighborhood that have AT&T have issues with them fairly often. I rarely ever see anyone talk about service issues with TW/Spectrum but it seems like every other week their AT&T service is down. Plus doesn't AT&T require a contract? |

We do not have a contract with AT&T (or Spectrum). The only issues we have ever had with our AT&T internet service was due to me or during a lightning storm the modem got fried. 1) I was digging a trench to lay PVC pipe and cut the phone line. - they came out and fixed it. 2) The internet was down, I called CS and they determined pretty quick that the DSL modem was the problem and they replaced it pretty quick as I recall. (It happened a few years ago.) TW used to bug me about upgrading service just as much as Spectrum does. We have dish network for TV and have been pretty happy with them. The only change we have had since Spectrum took over is a slight increase in our internet speed with no change in our internet price. (But you never know) |
| I tried my old computer on Friday. Not connected to a network was the message I got. Called spectrum. It seems that only one of the 4 ports on my modem works now. I was told it would be 5 bucks a month more plus a 9.95 activation fee if I wanted more of them to work. I told her go ahead I would pay the 5 a month more. Now the second port works and my old computer has internet. She also told me the modem is a router and gave me the network name and password. I have yet to try this, I may have to get a tablet for the bedroom. The downside is now my internet speed is between 30 and 40 mbps. AT&T is looking better every day. |

OK this seems weird....... that you have to pay for each port. But then, I just have a TW (Spectrum) cable modem and I plugged my own wireless router into it. We have AT&T DSL out at the ranch with a modem/router combination and all the ports work without paying extra. |
| The way she explained it to me is that only one port would work if the router was not activated. So for 5 a month more I have all 4 ports and a router. The speed is not an issue yet since I don't stream or download large files. I hate to change since I have had my road runner email address for years. I will see what the monthly bill shakes out at and then make up my mind. I was OK paying 151 a month they wanted north of 180 a month for the same service I already had. I had to reduce it drastically to get them to come down. They SUCK. |
