whilst at the range today, there was a Texan dad with his college age daughter & her boyfriend
visiting from Boston; they were shooting pistols, so I let them rip a mag thru my AR pistol; BF really loved it. also let her shoot my LC9sPro since she was trying out HD 9mm's then I finished sighting in some hunting guns; home made jethro shoot & see targets worked great (see u-tube vid) Then I OC'd thru Bastrop china mart with my old tanker holster; not a single look what did you do to further firearms rights & get new shooters onboard? |
On New Year's Day my son and I test fired his AR15 he built from parts. I gave him a barrel & upper receiver two Christmas' ago. He finished building it this past week. On the way home I stopped at a Valero Gas Station to draw a cup of diet coke with a little non diet coke for my wife. I open carried my S&W 5906 in a tanker holster. It felt a little strange as people tried not to look at me. I think I will avoid open carry when possible. I don't know if it was more a distraction to me or those around me. The encounter went otherwise good and interacted with the cashier and another worker in the store without incident. Nothing mentioned about my open carry of a pistol and the cashier was smiling at me.
