| Well I dont know what to do, I have worked county corrections for almost 10 years now, between 2 diffrent sheriff's office's. I love working in law enforcement and am good at my job. However I had a back injury in a fight and herniated 3 discs in my back. This year alone my back has gone out on me 4 times and have issues walking for weeks. Recent trip to the doc says my discs are degenerative and I should look for diffrent work. I make almost 45k a year right now and need to find another job that will pay me the same or more. I live in New Braunfels, and don't know where to start. I have previous sales experience before going into LE. Sorry for the long read but words of advice are appreciated. |
| Security consulting? Security Management (for healthcare and corporate systems)? Your local ASIS chapter can probably help identify those openings. You may have to start at the bottom and work your way up, but even an entry level position with a consultant will probably pay in the mid-high $40's. Maybe LE marketing/sales? I would think there are companies out there (Surefire, Smith & Wesson, 5.11, etc) trying to get Departments/Branches to use their stuff. |
