Surely I was not the only one there. Fess up. Even if you were outside demonstrating.

I didn't go and didn't watch. I heard it was a trophy wife show.

Does anyone else think he has it in the bag already or am I feeling a Romney?

Don't know what that means. I thought it was more a pro-USA pep rally than political stump speech.

Pep rally. You have to be a complete communist to not agree with him on most issues he mentioned.

He came out for:

  • Better care for vets

  • Stronger Military

  • No nukes for Iran

  • Legal immigration

  • Better trade deals

  • Better health care

  • Keep jobs in the USA

  • Lower taxes for middle class

  • A wall to keep out drug dealers, human traffickers

Seriously, who is against those things? It was lalso pretty tame on the name-calling and attacks on others. Almost non-existent. Said nice things about Perry, Cuban, and Jerry Jones (crowded boo'd on Jones).

On 92.5FM they were talking about it, and of course that show is all about making fun of folks, not political commentary, but they had a guy call in and say that the place was full of trophy wives (HOT MILFS!). And then one of the dudes on the show said he watched it online and said it was full of hot women, and like 3 women to every one guy. They didn't know if this was legitimate political support or "showboating" by trying to gather as many babes as possible to put on TV and get more people to support him.

As far as a pep rally, he's paying for it, why not keep it all positive and give your opponents less ammo for the next debate? Keep it all on your terms. It was limited to 20,000 tickets, but obviously the place could have held more people. Don't you think that was on purpose too? We had a "sell out" vs "we couldn't fill an arena". I'm not sure he couldn't have filled the area, but by making it a ticketed event, he kept the riffraff out. He's not an idiot, he's played politics from the business side of things his whole life, he's got a strategy to win this.

He must have extremely low standards for what constitutes a trophy wife. Gender mix was 50/50.

Unfortunately I had to miss the speech. Wifey was totally wrapped up in DWTS

How, for example, did he say he would build his "wall"?

What are the details of his new health plan?

I'm sorry to say that, although he "talks a good talk", I'm waiting for the details. Hopefully we will hear something new tomorrow night.

What are the details of his new health plan? He only covered that at end and did not say much other than repeal, replace.

Bidding it out to a contractor----that will be a fun appropriations fight in Congress. I assume he realizes that he can't simply write a check.

I REALLY want to believe that he can do what he says, I just don't see how he can do it with our system of government.

But look at our other choices

Yeah as every President has found out, Congress is the biggest impediment.

Of course in this instance, Congress has already allocated fund for a wall and there are contractors building it, just not as big as he envisions, his will be .... YUGE!

The AAC website says it is a 20,000 seat basketball arena and 18,532 for hockey.  Sounds like they were on par to me!
