I'm going to be buying a suppressor or two from out of state and wanted to see if anyone recommends an FFL that can do that.

I usually use New World Ordinance, but they don't do NFA transfers.

I am from Houston, but usually have my out-of-state suppressor purchases be handled by Capitol Armory in Cedar Park.  They handle paperwork swiftly and send me emails to keep me up-to-date with any changes in progress.
They charge $50 fee and I believe $8.95 shipping, which is reasonable since it saves me time and money from driving to any local establishments in Houston.  I've purchased directly and also had suppressors transferred to Capitol Armory to Form 4, with no issues.  Should be getting my Halo from them next week....only drawback is about 1.5 weeks wait (vs able to pick it up same day if you drive to pick it up) to mail them signed forms and they mail your county sheriff notice about the transfer.

eta: I also go through Ryan at NWO for FFL transfers, can't beat $10 for CHL holders.

That's the reason I wanted one in Houston.  That part just doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies.  Sure I get background checks all the time for my various licenses but a sheriff notification just feels wrong to me.

Any particular reason you're getting it from out of state?

I used silencershop for 2 reasons:  I can go and pick it up without waiting for these shipping to one place, form this form that, ship to another, etc.  Simply pay and wait.  2) as said above, I plan to pick mine up so no local LEO notification.  I also picked up a surefire on sale at Spring Gun n Ammo and have it in NFA jail.

I'm finding better pricing out of state on some specials than with silencer shop.  There's also no sales tax.  The price of the transfer should be lower than the sales tax and the cost of the gas for the drive to Austin.  That along with a lower price is a no brainer.

I've done four transfers through SS and they ship them to me each time. I've had several buddies who have had past sheriffs sign without issue,

Since Capital Armory and Silencer Shop are not in the Houston area, then I agree with the above poster. The manager of Radical Firearms is the old shop manager from Houston Armory.

Gulf Coast Firearms in Spring on the north side. I use him for all my regular transfers and just recently used him for several SBR's
