At either a Houston or Dallas gun show, what is the price of a STI Trojan NIB from one of the big dealers (Bachman. Schrams or AJC). Thanks |

I thought prices are higher at gun shows than in store fronts....................been my experience anyway. Quoted:

thks, ya I saw that I just figures that they might be cheaper at one of the bigger size shows. I thought prices are higher at gun shows than in store fronts....................been my experience anyway. Almost never. There's a reason Bullet Trap, Cabelas, Gunmaster, etc don't do gun shows...................competition on every aisle. |

Been going to DFW shows for decades, it is a rare event to see a retail store beat a gun show on price. |

I don't have a recent experience to share but just off the topic of my head I've notice AR15's seem higher than in stores. And I am not talking about sticker prices, I negotiate every where. At least that is my perception after walking around the Mesquite gun show yesterday. Also, lately I've been pricing Kimbers and every retail shop I've been to is willing to negotiate every bit as much as at a gun show. Perhaps I am wrong. I just don't see a tremendous savings at gun shows. |

Cost of going to a gun show, gas, parking, admission, snacks etc. go on my entertainment budget line. I've not purchased a gun from an FFL at one that I can recall. Got to keep your eyes up, ears open, know the vendors at the tables and have cash enough to work unexpected deals. A pregnant gal dragging her man around with a gun for sale is great fun. If I knew exactly what I want I don't think I'd look for it at a gun show. Some of the vendors above, even though they are the same name at the gun show, run the gun show guns and stock under separate companies on paper. |
