Seems like you've had some rain lately?  And I mean all over the state.

Is it helping?

It's hit or miss. I haven't had any rain lately.  Some parts of the DFW area have, but not where I live.

Slight drizzles and mist every now and then. While it's not helping the lake levels much, it breaks up the monotony of hot and clear days.

Very little and all it is doing is keeping the drought from getting worse at a faster rate.  We need some MAJOR rain events to get us out of this mess.

Here's an IIRC and CSB:

A year ago, friend of mine was standing in line to get .22 (no neckbeard) and struck up a conversation with a fella about the weather. The guy said "We need a Clearup Rain." My friend asked what that was. "That's when it rains clear up to your ass." The guy in front them was about 6'6" and my friend wished "Can it be clear up to his ass?"

It seems that the skeeters have really enjoyed the rain here...

Can't go outside.

It cooled off about 10 degrees yesterday and was humid as hell, but absolutely no rain.

I think we get fed another line of weatherman bullshit.

we need months of rain. Went hunting on a ranch up on the red river (clay county) and the rancher said by his estimation we've been in a drought since 1997.   but night before last it rained like crazy at my house, probably making the total in the last 7 days around 4-5 inches of rain.

Here South of Lubbock it rained/misted most of the morning yesterday and all day today.  Probably 1-1/2 inches here at my place so far...

This was what the radar looked like for WF until this year. Took this in 2011, I think.
