I live in the Amarillo, TX area
The Academy Sporting good store here is selling primers but nothing else, I have heard rumors of them selling more, have you guys seen anything at your area academy? Iv also heard of people noticing reloading components in their local Walmarts ...... anyone? |

Arlington, TX sells primers by the hundred but nothing else.
The guy told me some sell powder but per county/city ordanance they can't. Don't know the legitimacy of that statement though as typically ours is staffed by people that know shit about guns. "Can I see that Mossberg 500 12ga?" "Uhhhh, which rifle is that"

It's being rolled out slowly. The buyers are visiting stores lately and one of the top request items from the departments is to speed up the reloading components. Mostly what it will be is single stage presses, powder, bullets, brass in handgun, rifle and shotgun. Right now there is a buying lull in prep for Christmas and should be coming soon.

| Thanks for the replies, that's the second time iv heard the corpus area has more than just primers. hopefully they will carry more as time goes on. 1 reloading shop in town seems to keep a decent inventory lately while the other cant get anything .... online is staying steady as well ..... hopefully by the first of next year everyone can get what they are looking for and put a little back! |

If you don't mind saying, where online is staying steady? Powder Valley, Grafs, Wideners and Natchez is staying steady...out of stock. Montana Gold is the only place I see product and it's spotty. Gringop What are you looking for , I have had no trouble picking up primers locally so I haven't looked online for those .... bullets 45/223 that I have been buying for the past couple of months are staying in stock ..... powder is hit or miss but I have found that the local store is getting stuff in regular....brass everywhere.....let me know ill help you if I can |

There were on the top shelve (or eye level) far right. I would guesstimate 100 packs of 100. Maybe even more.
This was a couple of months ago. I was at the August gun show at the convention center and there were several guys there selling them. anywhere from $32-$40 a 1000. Quoted:
I didn't see no primers at academy this weekend but to be honest I wasn't really looking for them either. They behind the counter? I almost paid that guys $30 a pound for Varget at the gun show though... |
