You got a few options brother. Best Bet for shooting is the new Eagle Tactical Solutions Range on Highway 100, just past Los fresnos. Go all the way down until you see the sign and then turn right. $10 per person all day. Rifle/pistol/Mg, 1000 yd range, plenty of room, and the range guys are pretty knowledgeable and reasonable. As long as you are safe and can demonstrate it they give you a lot of lead way out there. There's two more ranges heading out towards Boca Chica Beach, but they are kinda far.
As for gunshops, I like to frequent South Texas Tactical in Brownsville. Its off the expressway on Sunrise Blvd, just passing Tipton Ford. Right across from Furniture row. Prices are pretty fair, and they have a lot of consignment guns too. Not much ammo right now but they do have some, it may be a little pricey though. I would stay away from Chucks on Paredes, Not a good shop at all. In Mcallen you have a few shops, the one that isnt bad is RDS on 10th street I beleive. I have ben there a few times, the owner is ok, a little stubborn, but ok. Nice shop too. Hope this helps, and Congrats on the weeding. |

It has lately. The "New" range in LF has the potential to be a great range. They have plans for a 360" shoothouse, towers, you name it, etc. just like everything else waiting on funds to drop, but they do have the land for it. Small tip don't drive too fast or else you have to drive a long way to turn around due to the jersey barriers so you may pass up the range. Just look for the big black sign. I forgot to add there is a gunshop on the island, towards the end, on a new plaza. I think if you google it it will come up, I've never been there but a few buds have, but it was pre panic though. |

the end of the island like where the movie theater is or was? lol haven't been down there in a longggg time lol if i don't have the wedding down there my family would kill me haha Yeah towards that area. If you havent been to the island in a while you might not recognize it anymore. Now with schlitterbahn, and all the condos at the end of the island by Andy Bowie Park. The gunshop should be towards the end, if I remember correctly. Movie theatre is still there, but there are a lot more restaurants out there. |
