I'm here seeking answers/solutions to my questions. ie getting my magazines...DONE ie property to shoot on besides gun ranges....? finding magazines and AR'15 info possibly before a possible ban...? got many mags not all I have on order though due to backorder various gun laws in texas (new here, new laws)...? If I want general talk for entertainment I go to a bar or find a hockey forum...since my primaries are HOCKEY, HOT CHICKS, GUNS....not in that order! |

Nope. Buy it yourself or relocate to a state with a lot of land not worth owning like AZ, NV or CA. Oh... not CA since their gun laws suck. But bottom line is unless you own your own land in the country, know someone who does that will let you shoot there or it is an organized range, you are pretty much SOL here. All the land is owned by someone, and trespassing is highly frowned on. That said, we've got some great ranges around for people who are willing to follow the rules and aren't complete cheapskates. finding magazines and AR'15 info possibly before a possible ban...? got many mags not all I have on order though due to backorder
You are a day late and a dollar short. You should have started stocking up on Sept 15th, 2004. Anyone who understands history could see the future that there would be new bans coming. The time to get stuff while it was still readily available and not priced at panic levels came and went a long time ago. Between the AWB sunset and Obama getting elected was the sweet spot... damned near 4 years to build a stockpile. various gun laws in texas (new here, new laws)...?

Hockey? It is too damned hot down here for that. Hot chicks we got, but if you go at them like you do the forums you're gonna scare the good ones away. This ain't Detroit full of no-class Ho's. |

You can raise your stupid red wings flag all you want. At the end of the game, the Dallas might be sad that their team lost, but we're happy as can be because we don't live in Detroit.
Detroit fans are so passionate about hockey because once they leave the Joe, they realize they're still stuck in Detroit. |

Never lived in Detroit, it is much nicer in Detroit than Cabrini-Green (Chicago)....not sure about Dallas...but I lived in Lansing, MI and the crime rate where I lived is EXACTLY the same as here in Arlington, there are places in Dallas that are just as bad if not worse than Detroit. The main difference between Arlington and Lansing is that there are more crimes reported because the population here is much larger, BUT the crimes per 100,000 people is the same. I haven't been to the Dallas Arena yet, can't comment on the surroundings. BUT Detroit is supposed to be relocating due to Mike Ilitch being the powerful/rich man he is wants to do a development and put a little entertainment complex together. I think he is looking to bring another sports team arena as well. It will likely lead to a much nicer neighborhood and safer place...walking from the parking ramp to JLA at night is somewhat dangerous! Just a lil humor regarding the red flags topic, people thinking I am makong..whatever and what not... I will always be a Red Wings fan even now that I live in Texas...but I do want to go see Jagr play live for once in my lifetime! If you don't have enough HATERS just tell'em your a WINGS fan that'll get them all on-board the HATER WAGON right quick! Oh and I might be slightly off on the crime thing...now that I've thought about it some.. I recall telling friends while I still lived in Lansing that the crime is higher in Texas but I attributed it to the WARM weather...as it's harder for them to steal your stuff in the COLD especially snow since they leave tracks...but criminals tend to steal more in weather that is more comfortable to them. So there is likely a highr crime rate down here, not to mention any illegals...not all of them illegals are fine upstanding illegals! |

This ain't Detroit full of no-class Ho's. 1.Yup, mostly on their end they could have handled it a lot better, then I wouldn't have had to handle at all. 2. Not relocating to another state for probably 13 years, then maybe at that time I will relocate to Hawaii...ie RETIRE..perhaps two homes..one here and one there. Found cheap land near the border but too far away. Don't like ranges, cost is not the issue..as land costs more than a gun range..probably even if you went everyday of the year. I don't like shooting with a lot of strangers around, waiting for the all clear to go down range, the simple standard fixed targets, leaving your guns behind with strangers around, the possibility of accidents due to strange idiots at the range... just much more relaxing and enjoyable if you can shoot off your deck and leave your guns on the deck without having to worry about them or pack them up to go to the target...this is more of an issue for 500-2,000 yard shooting. 3.Honestly I haven't been paying attention this past year, I do recall Obama saying stuff that had me at ease years ago and not worried about it as much as I should have but I was sort of blindsided by the 2nd term thing and well I have been focused on moving down here from Michigan, etc so wasn't really paying that much attention. 2nd terms are bad..that's when they get away with murder. 4. I read some of it..or at least some of it sunk in...sometimes thought the language is a bit much, written to make it not so easy to understand...typically Texas is the leader and Michigan is the follower when it comes to guns.. but Michigan has or had something going in regards to getting some EXTRA training once you get your CPL you take some more training and then they increase the places that you can carry. like say schools or churches...I'm not up-to-date on it it's just something I found out about after I moved here..I think it passed..but I'm not sure on what places it allows you to carry that normal 'entry-level' cpl holders can't carry at. CPL = CHL |
