I just got my duty assignment... Midland.. What the hell, housing is insane. Anyone have an inside track on a place to live for a new GW?

ha, a friend of mine told me to move there with her and get married so she could find a place. jobs everywhere there but no places to stay. also congrats on the GW!

When you getting there.
I work with a guy that lives there, I think he a rent houses.
It would be week after next before I would be able to find out though. At the very least, maybe he could point you in the right direction.

Housing in Midland has really taken off the past few years.

Check outlying communities. Greenwood is a nice place a few miles ESE from Midland proper.

I keep hearing this, but year before last (when I was job hunting) I looked at the area and couldn't find any more jobs than anywhere else in TX.
