Can we just get rid of DART all together? They are bleeding money. Nothing but low life scum use it, hence the crime rate at bus stations and this is THE 2 SHOOTING IN 2 MONTHS THAT A COP WAS SHOT!!!!!!

Thankfully I'm a couple of miles away from the station, but there's a reason why Corinth and Hickory Creek told them to piss off when a station was proposed there. Wish Denton had done the same. At least the station is conveniently located next to the police station. |

It's not just crackheads using DART. That said, I don't like DART, have never used it, and worry about her (unarmed of course) taking our kids on it. |

There are plenty of commuters who use it for work purposes, and i guess it helps, but have you ever been on or seen a dart bus unload after 7 o'clock? As my DPD friend says, it becomes the Crime Wave Ride! |

You know what DART spokesman Mark Ball said? In a totally holy shit statement when asked what DART riders can do to protect themselves
"I don't really know what can be done, you have a right to carry in the state of Texas."
I had to re-read it to make sure he really meant what he said. Why bother having DART police when your spokesman says you are on your own and should arm yourself? I guess that is what he is saying. Surely he does not think that everyone, even crooks, have the right to carry a firearm in public, wherever they want? Either way what he said is retarded. The last time I really thought I was going to get in a fight with some thugs while holding my then 3yr old. I never said a word to them, but they were drunk and looking for a fight. Had my wife, 3 kids and 60yr old mom with me. An old black lady started chewing their ass's for being idiots which finally made them get off at the next stop. Wife and mom thought the boys would enjoy riding the train. They know better than to even bring that idea up again. |
