is it worth going? i missed the market hall show b/c of work Depends on what you want out of the show. It costs a little more than a movie but can be very entertaining, some of the usual vendors will be there, and since this show is not as big, you might run into a few great deals (especially if buying from an individual). My experience in this past year has had more people holding onto their money, looking for the Holy Grail of deals. Support the local economy if you have the funds and time - sure beats walking the shoe stores in the mall. |

Cabela's is giving ALL attendees a $20 coupon and also holding drawings for a shotgun, $50 gift cards, and hunting and shooting equipment... Can you expand on this coupon? Minimum purchase?? The coupon's good for $20 off any purchase of $100... |

Guys, if it's not a far drive from you and you're local to Allen, PLEASE GO!
I know it's not the best show, but the more interest, the more people WILL start coming and it will grow and grow. See my point? If we all bail on it, well the shows will only get shittier and no vendors will come and it will eventually drop out entirely. Come swing the $8 to get in, walk around for an hour, if it sucks that bad, go to Cabela's down the street, go eat at Mooyah's or Twisted Root, check out the Outlet Malls whatever. or bring your own stuff and walk around with it and see if anybody bites on buying it! I'm not a vendor, I'm just a guy who likes not having to drive an hour to Mesquite or Market Hall (and deal with their parking) and appreciates that some shows are making there way up to the 'burbs! I'll see you there! |

I thought it was a good show Were any of the major vendors there? How many tables? I usually look for the older stuff , so I do not seek out the major vendors . Very competitive ammo pricing . A few years ago we all would have killed for the ammo and prices of today . Shipmates stock up now before the election Among things that caught my eye were a very nice 1903 Springfield , Eddy stone and an Enfield . There was a new in the box Marlin camp carbine in .45 if someone is looking for something like that . Do not recall seeing Model 1 or Bauchman but again I do not usually seek them out .
There were enough tables to fill half of the concourse and all of the inside arena . Seemed well organized with good security . |
