I remember dust storms like this in Midland\Odessa area when I was a young child watching the wall.  It's the fine dust that got into every nook and cranny that I remember as well.  Good day to stay inside.

It hasn't changed...we live outside of MIdland and it got us about 7:30 or so.
Just a filthy mess.

I've never lived in West, TX which is probably why I saw that picture and thought "How cool is that?"

This is why I much prefer Amarillo. Not nearly as many cotton fields, more grazing land. We don't get that crap here. Lubbock, Texas is the only place I have ever seen it rain mud.
