I like crawfish and zydeco, so is it worth the drive to Shreveport for the Mudbug Madness festival?  I'd appreciate any feedback from anyone who's gone before...

Depends upon how far you have to drive.
If it is very far, I'd just buy 30# of crawfish from HEB and invite some friends over.
We've done this 2 years in a row and always have a blast!
Beer, [mud]bugs, buddies, babes...who can ask for more?

Why the hell not?  You have anything better to do?

For me, it would be a 3 hour drive. You didn't have Cajun zydeco at your own party, did ya?

beer, music, boiled crawfish?

The answer to that question should be "yes".  Grab a motel, and hit that stuff hard.

3 hours isn't that far, and (good time or bad) you'll at least have a story when you get back.

That must by Natty Light.    I saw the Mr.  Yuck face right under where it says beer.

Homebrew.
Mr. Yucky was a joke.
We were trying to keep my 4 year old daughter away from the keg.

I think I'm going to the Oaks on Saturday.  I think I'll ride the bike, drink a few beers and eat some mud bugs.

This is genuinely the best homebrew i have ever tasted. And I'm English, so I know what good beer tastes like (yes, at varying temperatures, up to and including warm)
