I grew up there and my dad's gun shop is there.  Hunter Supply.  Nothing real special as far as attractions go.  The zoo is decent.

I live in victoria. Not much to do. There's a new range opening that i'll be joining soon. Currently we're being overtaken by the chinese. There have been alot of chinese restaurants opening lately. I hate the fact that there's not much to do, but it's home until we buy a house in the country.

Victoria is a rather quiet place,  kind of poor and not much business like most small Texas towns.  Really, you can go visit the Mission at Goliad or head down to the coast for a weekend, Hunting is good, fishing depends on the weather at the coast. Housing is cheap, land not so much.  Don't know anything about the schools if that is a concern.

I suppose you could go to Houston for the night life, but I'm always mystified why folks would go to Houston for ANY reason.

I bought my last truck at Victoria Ford. Good folks, got a hell of a deal.

make sure they are aware of the hurricanes and prepare accordingly.

they are a couple of hours away from a few big cities, not too bad if they are into road trips.

That must have been years ago. It's not exactly a small town but it's not houston. I've never even heard of victoria ford. There's been a bit of growth over the past couple of years. I'll admit though that there could be more stuff to do.
