I went online and paid the $70 for the receipt with the bar code to take to a CHL renewal class. I have not received any sort of packet.
Am I supposed to get some sort of packet that includes fingerprint card, etc to renew? Below is the confirmation email I received. I received no "checklist" of any sort Below is your checklist of required supporting documentation: CHL-100 Training Form * * CHL-100 required only once every 10 years starting on 3rd renewal. Thank you for using Texas Online to submit your Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) Concealed Handgun Licensing Handgun License Renewal application. See the checklist for additional items that must be sent to TXDPS. Your application will be considered "incomplete" until all checklist items have been received. DPS no longer requires Fingerprints or Photos on renewals. After you take your class you will be issued a CHL100 (your certification form). You send that alsong with your barcode form that you printed out back to DPS.
You did your affidavits online That's it. Your "checklist" item is the CHL 100, as indicated. |

My renewal isn't for a couple more years, but this means there is less to do and less headache involved! |
