Are Primary Arms a good store? I have been looking at buying a cheap AR upper and a cheap red dot so that I can plink at the range this summer, and certainly their optics look to be very good considering they are cheap. Their M4 uppers (they sell CMMG) are priced in the same ballpark as Del-Ton, Spikes Tactical etc. Has anyone got any thoughts on the best one here? I'd be using it just for fun at the range, and would be shooting all kinds of cheap ammo through it. I already have a Spikes tactical lower fully built and awaiting an upper. Has anyone got experience of Primary Arms products and also their customer service? |
| Having had the opportunity to spend some time with Marshall and the guys at Primary Arms this past week, I can tell you that you won't find anybody in the business who are more dedicated to providing their customers with a great product at a great price, and with excellent customer service before, during, and after the sale. You should buy from them with the utmost confidence. |

I bought one of their lights last year. The switch didn't work and they promptly sent me a new switch. I just got a red dot, 1-4 scope, and magnifier. I love the red dot and the scope but the magnifier was broken when I received it. Based on talking with other guys at matches, it seems if you get an item that works you won't ever have any problems with it but even with them quickly replacing the broken things, I just don't understand why they don't have someone checking their goods before shipping? I can understand not doing that when just reselling say a Nikon scope but when selling PA branded stuff, it seems like they aren't doing any quality control when getting stuff from their factory. I guess when I'm buying stuff, I don't want to be the quality control guy.
In summary, I will continue buying from them due to the price but I won't expect the items to work the 1st time and once I get an item that works, I know it will function without any problems. |

I ordered a Magpul BUIS the other day after the positive reviews here. It was an easy ordering process and that day I got the shipping confirmation. It arrived today. Perfect, quick, easy. I will be ordering my optics and upper from here too. I like to keep my $ in Texas and this has just made it so much easier... |

The thing I like best about PA is those of us that can travel to the Pearland shop can try various mounts and arrangements before buying. The service folks are very knowlegable, and they have the tools and equipment to hold parts/lowers/uppers while you try out different options. A buddy and I went to the shop, and in 20 minutes we had tried several different RDS units, mounts (cantilever and straight) and magnifiers. Also, it's easy to get the right height mount without having to try low, medium or high, and get it wrong a couple times. You can try whatever configuration you want for true cowitness, lower 1/3, see if the BIUS will fit under the magnifier. |

All is now as it should be.
The customer called. It has been resolved. Our phone has been busy a lot with people asking for UPS status becasue of the weather delays, so maybe that was the problem. Not sure why email noted below was not received. Here are the details, for the record. The order was placed Saturday 2:07PM. We received a email Sunday at 1:21PM saying "Did you get my order for the M-4 red dot? I need to know if you have no record I must try and find out what happened because my credit card was charged for this transaction. Please let me know ASAP. thank you" There was a problem with the order the first time the customer tried to enter it so that is why he was checking. Scott replied at 10:03PM "Your order went through. It will be shipped out tomorrow." That is why I did not show a open email. It had already shipped UPS today before I saw this post.. Thanks Marshall |

This thread is a good chance to let the locals in on a few exciting things that are coming up.
We are moving into a larger building around March 1st. It is right across the parking lot from our present location so if you get here and the sign is gone just turn around. This will give us the room to add additional products as we are currently maxed out. We have hired a 15 year Navy Vet to be our operations manager. Jason will be on board in a few weeks and he brings not only a lot of weapons knowledge but was heavily involved in Seal support logistics. He will definitely keep thing moving as we continue to grow. The phone number will stay the same but we are adding two additional lines and a commercial phone system with a que. The phone is busy a lot so this will help. We already have some gear available for local purchase that is not on the web site so if you don;t see what you are looking for give us a call.
