I am a Texas resident, a buddy is visiting from out of town and likes one of the pistols in my safe, I am not attached to it and want to sell it. He is not a Texas resident.
If I sell him the gun and he ships it back to his home himself, am I breaking any law? Thanks! |

What you are supposed to do is ship it to an FFL in his state where he fills out the 4473 gets NICS checked if necessary and completes the sale and takes possession. |

Both of you would be in violation of federal law...........you for selling a handgun to a nonresident, him for acquiring a handgun outside his state of residence. |
