I'm "sort of" new to TX. I moved out here from FL in January for a temporary job. The temp job turned permanant a month ago. Anywho, I have a concealed weapons permit for the state of FL. I know that there is reciprocity between TX and FL. My question is am I allowed to carry using my FL CWL while having a TX drivers license while the TX CWL is being processed? The FL CWL makes no mention of resident vs. non resident, but does list my address from FL.

| Thanks. I ended up settling down in NW Austin. While this is a hippy town I'm sure glad to be in TX. Everything here makes SENSE! My buddy (born/raised here in Houston) is looking for the bumper sticker that says "I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could". Although, the Obama stickers are starting to get annoying. Oh well, the price I pay for income. |
