Hi,
Am looking at joining a private Club and PSC caught my attention (Belonged to one before moving to Houston and miss it), I sent off a email to see if I could just go out and visit but Marc Gentine adv it has a automated gate and I may not be able to get in and since it's a volunteer club they have no staff to show me around and if by chance the gate was open when I got there it may be closed when I got ready to leave. He did adv that if I could find a member I could go out as a guest and tour all it has to offer so I am asking if anybody is a member maybe we could get together and go out there so I can get a idea of what the grounds look like and see what they have to offer, I can offer up lunch as thanks. |

Hile psc is nice I would suggest you also look at The impact zone.
It's a great private range with more of am open attitude toward NFA, shooting and fun. It's out of Houston but I drive the 1.5 hours from the far east side of the city justso I can be left alone to shoot and train as I please. |

Its a nice range, especially if you're a pistol shooter. Regular IPSC and IDPA matches with really good attendance (60+ shooters). Not a member yet since I don't know whether or not I'm gonna be living in Houston for the duration, but I shoot there at least once a month.
Oh, and the gate is automatic.... if it closes before you take off, just drive up to it |

I am a member. I was there today. What part of town do you live in? I live right off I-10 and Barker Cypress Rd Man that would be a drive to get to PSC. You may want to check out the impact zone as it may be closer and easier to get to. I'm a member of PSC and feel it's a much nicer set up then the Impact Zone but I would check out the drive. PSC has several contests on the weekends and the gate is normally open till late after noon if you want to check it out. |

I am a member. I was there today. What part of town do you live in? I live right off I-10 and Barker Cypress Rd look into bayou rifles. they have a pistol, silhouette and rimfire range(no center fire rifle) right by eldridge and dairy ashford on the reservoir side of the hill. this range is open friday, saturday and sunday. if you're a range safety officer, you can go out damned near whenever you want. i believe you can shoot black powder at this range. i've never been to any of the PSC facilties, so i can't compare. ETA they also have another range that you can shoot centerfire rifles at various ranges up to 1000yds near highway 6 and 288. they also have banned calibers such as 50bmg, 338 lapua mag (i think) and some others. http://bayourifles.org/ |
