seems that they've been dicking with trailer laws.
anything over 4500GVW is required to be DOT inspected now. i've been adding markers, LEDs, breakaway brake systems and rewiring all week.... |

It was brought up in a recent thread. Somebody (Was it Mr. Larue???) got pulled over and issued a ticket. If i recall correctly, trailers with a GVWR of >4500 lbs are required by law to be inspected. The law has been on the books for a while but is just recently begun to be enforced. Any trailer with a GVWR of 4500 lbs or more is required to have brakes. And of course, it won't pass inspection if it doesn't have brakes. Again, this is all what I vaguely remember.
