How about them Eagles!

years ago, we had a guy named Sprayberry as head coach for Cooper High
He got a job offer from Midland and in order to keep him the School Board gave him a 10K year raise. Well, there is a rule somewhere that both coaches in districts with more than one high school, have to be paid the same. so the other coach also got a raise. it gets better. this raise put the coaches above the principal's salary and there is another rule that the principal cannot make less than the coach so both prinicpals also got raises and to top it all off, the coach still ended up leaving salaries from the Superintendent on down are WAY too high. there are 5 or 6 assistants to the superintendent that make well over 100K and the superintendent makes 220K By comparison, a US Senator makes about 165K |
