Is there any place in the Austin area that sells nightvision equipment? I'm not talking about the cheap stuff they sell at sporting good stores.
I know that there is a store that carrys equipment for LEO's in Austin, could they have some?

GT Distributors has some decent lower end stuff, I went with TNVC and am very pleased.  Cooking up some backstraps right now from a piggie I blasted last night while wearing them.

Thats the place I was thinking of. My SIL wants to get my brother some for Christmas and was asking me about it. I told her about TNVC but she wants to check it out in person.

Well, I've got some gen 3 pvs 14's from them.  I'd be glad to let you or your SIL demo them if you have access to any land around Austin that needs some piggies destroyed.  I'm assuming that's the purpose of buying them.  P.M. me if you're interested.

As did I.  Victor is top-notch, and sells a quality product.

I don't know of anything around Austin but there's an outfit called Tactical Hog Control around Bryan/College Station that does night hog hunts with NV gear.  The owner, a guy named Jed, also sells the NV equipment.  He would probably let you check out the equipment even if you didn't book a hunt with him.  The hunts are kind of expensive but look like a blast.

Judging by all of his really cool toys I doubt that he's poor, unless he's poor because of his really cool toys.  Besides, his stuff is a little more advanced that Jed Clampett's ole Bessy.  Just wish I had a few of them.
