Hooray! My Son (21) just got his today.

My question is for him (he`s in school). What was the first circumstance when you were carrying RIGHT AFTER YOU GOT YOUR CARD where you found yourself close to breaking the law IE. walking into a bank or some similar place where weapons are not allowed. I need to share as many of these examples as I can with him.

Banks are not necessarily forbidden places unless they have posted proper 30.06 signage.  The little "ghost buster" decals I've seen at a few have no legal meaning.

1st.  Banks are allowed, unless 30.06 posted.

Went to a gun show, I was surprised to find 30.06 posted.  Though as it was a gun show i just unloaded and had them zip tie it.

Thanks guys. My son is a fine young man and I just know how innocent shit has happened to me in my life. We all have erred unknowingly. I have impressed on him how the anti-gun crowd keeps up the pressure in all areas. It , in my opinion, is just a permit to learn or to continue to learn.

Hospitals(with proper signage) and post offices(federal building) but it is easy to forget you are carrying. Just make sure he is observant and he will be fine.
