You should be good to go in 2-3 days based on my experience.
The license will come in a pretty plain envelope. No T shirt, stickers or even a ball cap. I guess they think the license is its own reward. Once you get it, take out all the contents of your wallet and copy both sides. Write the date on the copied pages. Put the copies in safe place, like your gun safe. Repeat this process every 6 months or so or whenever you get a new credit card or other card for your wallet. Then, if your wallet is ever lost or stolen, you have a significant head start on what you need to get cancelled, copied, etc. Good luck mate. |

Just today received mine in the mail.
Took the class May 28th. Sent my paperwork in the following monday Right at 45 days later I received my PIN and a packet for new fingerprint cards and photo ID. Two weeks later i sent off my new fingerprint and photo ID cards. I checked the website a couple of weeks later and it wouldn't let me login. Said the info i submitted was different. I sent a polite email to the CHL department with my info sans SSN and received a reply about a week later. They got it fixed and i could login. I checked the website again on Monday before the 18th and it said certificate active. 4 days later i received my license. So, received my CHL the 18th of September. Elapsed time was just under four months. Obviously it would have been quicker had my fingerprints and photo ID been correct the first time. Not sure if the info being wrong delayed me either. Also, I had three counties i had lived in the past five years. |

They will mail you your pin once they enter your app. This is asumming you get your packet from the class. The pin is not your license #. They are different. So how long does it take to get your pin # took me about 10 days after i submitted it in person |

I submitted my Application online and when they mailed me my stuff to sign, thats when I got my pin. I also forgot to sign the back of the photo and the mental health waiver, just didn't remember, and I had to get that fixed, so all in all from sent to approved was only 2 months and 3 days but I still havn't gotten it in the mail yet(hopefully monday) |
