Here`s my problem. I travel a lot in and around small towns in rural areas. If I have a weapon (travelling) in my truck OR if I have say a pair of shotguns in a case in the back of the truck AND i go through a school zone am I violating the law? Many of these towns have NO way around them except to go through another town with another school zone.

You are not violating state law.  Federal law, though, ?????

Your not violating any law in Texas. Texas peace officers dont enforce Federal law.

With that said, theres no federal law I'm aware of either.

This is the third thread on this this week.

Yes you are probably in violation of Federal Law, unless the case is locked and the gun unloaded.
