This is the place to go:

Boresight Solutions

He is highly recommended by the LE guys over at 10-8 forums and has some of his work shown off there.  The pictures look superior to that of the Houston area guy.

Two people at my dept have used him.  The G21SF that was sent down was given the extended magwell.  Half of it broke off the second time we went to the range with it (the owner is a tac member and we are at the range twice a month shooting).  It was sent back and returned within a week.  That was at least a year ago and have had no problems since.  The other was a G19 for a very, very small female officer.  I really like both and though the magwell broke off the G21SF, it was fixed and returned promptly.  I would not hesitate to use his services.

i have three pistols made / enhanced by gripreductions.com

the G34 i use has the extended beavertail and the tactical magwell.. this is the pistol i use the most in IDPA  including two or three gun!.. this G34 have seen probably (conservative estimate) 200,000 rounds then gripreductions.com worked on it.. now the gun probably has 250,000 rounds through it and everything that DALE has done to it is still rock solid!

sure there is robar and or others.. but heres the kicker....
- great customer service
- good turn around time
- if your not satisfied.. he will fix it guarantee
- knowledge on the weapon and in the industry
- variety of grip ...size..fit..texture..design..(for variety of hand size)
- (and the best of all) LE discount!

if you get a chance to see the guy in a gunshow? stop by and have a chat.. like talking to a doctor.. he will diagnose your hand and the grip etc etc.. topnotch guy!...
oh by the way?... he has NEW TEXTURING now..a NEW PALM SWELL DESIGN......  not seen in the website yet...

(raising right hand) I promise to upload pics of my pistolas! soon.. as you can see its freakin 1:12 AM!

Hello all,

I'm Boresight Solutions.      THanks Cyber for posting pics of my work. Those pics are a bit dated, so I'll add a few newer ones to this thread.

Any questions, please contact me via email:  [email protected]      Don't contact me via AR15.com IM, as I'm not on here very often.

I'm only quoting this to clarify that the above post is referring to gripreductions.com, not Boresight Solutions.

Anyone ever try this yourselves.
A belt sander and a dremel tool is all you would need.
I can't see that sanding plastic is all that hard.
Sure there may be a learning curve and you might kill one frame but I am thinking acraglass or jb weld would fix any problem.
If you have the tools why not try the job yourself?

I don't have my glock done yet, but will soon.  Too much money spent in other places right now.  Like I said, I'm just forwarding what I hear from a large number of other officers.  I'm not saying anything negative about gripreductions.com because I have no exerience with them, nor have I heard about him from the LE community.

It's a leetle more complicated than that, but after doing several hundred of them, it becomes fairly routine.  I think that the learning curve and time-consuming nature of the work is what makes most people send their guns to me (and other shops), so they can get a known & guaranteed outcome.

And you're correct that most mistakes are fixable.  Glocks are especially forgiving.   I get a lot of frames sent to me that were DIY jobs that went wrong (sometimes frames that the clients thought were ruined), and I'm happy to say I haven't lost one on the operating table yet.  I've also restored reductions that were done by several other shops.  I'll post before/after pics of those as well.

thanks bcw.  IIRC that's a G35, and I stuck my G17C slide on it for the photo op.

bigkracka, I'm guessing it was you I spoke with on the phone a few minutes ago.  I had a bad connection, so the call was dropped near the end, but I was saying if you need more info or specific pics of certain mods on a certain frame, email me at:  [email protected]

thanks,

Ben

that's something I've considered, but haven't been able to afford with my overhead.

I'm a vet myself and I have always tried to give duty guns priority, but anymore I have so many duty guns (e.g. LE,  .MIL, .GOV contractor) on the bench I can't expedite things like I used to.

Soo, If I can't give a discount to my brothers/sisters who carry a gun for a living, at least you can be satisfied with the fact that you're dealing with one of your own, and you will get a product that's done to the absolute best of my ability.
