Hey everyone - GREAT NEWS!!!
My boss told me today that he wants me to take a temporary (6-9 months) position down at a plant in TX... made him twist my arm real hard too But I have a question for you guys. Since I'm relatively new at the gun ownership thing, what do I need to do to bring a rifle with me for the temporary time I'm down there? Chances are I'm going to get my TX license back because it's much cooler than my OH one so I'll be a TX resident. Ideally, it would be in a moving box while I'm on a plane. Thanks in advance, (About to be Un-Displaced) Texan |

you wont need anything to bring your firearms down here. unless there nfa. + Just pack them up and drive on down. Remember in most of those blue states you will have to drive through to get here you will have to keep them locked, outside the passenger compartment with the ammo stored separately and in some of them even your detachable mags have to be transported empty. Once you get into TX where we've got more sane laws you can keep a loaded long gun in your car provided it isn't displayed in such a manner "calculated to cause alarm" (in other words don't brandish or point it at people) and a loaded handgun in your car provided you keep it "out of plain sight" (in the glove box, console, under the seat, etc). |
