Tiger Valley well have open training days starting May 2nd and 3rd, 2009. We hope to have the range open 2 weekends a month. Everything will be open except the shoot house for your use. Along that line I hope you guys will monitor the activity around you and if you see someone screwing up, plant a foot accordingly or call me to do so. Shooting starts on the KD range at 9:00am and moves back every 30 minutes or as shooters desire. If a group of you wants to run a short match, we can accommodate that also. Cost is $30.00 per day, we supply all targets on the KD range. If your shooting pistol on anything but steel or plate racks bring your own or will will have them for sale.

TJ - will you be there Friday evening for any camping early arrivals? would love to go, but I'm a only free even weekend guy. kids. Anytime it's on an even, I can make it. TXL |

I will be there! I just got a new rifle and need to get the dope on it.... and on my AR10. I am interested in the KD range shooting. I can probably only do one day or the other tho. I thought you zeroed your AR10 already? What new rifle? Well, its a long story. Yes - I did zero my AR10 - but I never got dope on it out to 800 because I never worked up a good load. I will decide on my AR10 load before I go.... Next - I bought a Remington 700 5R milspec, to be my shooter, while I send off my 700 PSS to have it built in my McMillan stock, rebarelled, DBM install, etc. The problem? I realized I loaded up all 500 pieces of my PSS fired Lapua brass with my pet load for the PSS, 44.5 gr of Varget with a 175SMK. Now... the big issue... this ammo will not even CHAMBER in my AR10 or my 700 5R milspec, as both are cut with a match chamber, and this is fireformed out of the my HUGE chambered PSS. Plus it would be too hot to assume safe in either weapon. I think I have no choice but to continue shooting my PSS for now, until I burn up this ammo. Which sucks. I really want to send it off, and see what this 5R will do. |

how is butts service run on open shoots? I would be interested in comming down and getting a dope on my rifle for 300yds to where I have to stop due to wind. We start at 9am. Whoever is there at that time - we divide up into teams, and one team runs the pits while the other team shoots. We appoint one person on each team to be the range officer. That person seals the pits, and calls the lines hot and cold. Range officer in the pits runs the walkie, and calls his line safe to exit, or sealed, and helps make sure everyone is working the targets right. We start at the agreed upon distance (typically 200yds unless nobody needs to shoot that close) We will run 2-3 distances (200,400,500) per team, then switch. Previous shooters go to the pits. Any new shooters that show up need a partner, we will call a quick cease-fire and let their partner head into the pits. Repeat, going back to 1000. The goa is to get/refine/confirm your elevation dope at each distance. If you only need to fire 5 rounds - you fire those and clear your weapon from the line. If you need to fire 50, then fire 50... but at some point we will call the line cold and move back due to time constraints. If people cooperate, and work fast, we can get 6 distances done in a morning. If there are lots of people present, that dont want to get on the KD range, then our KD time might get cut short, due to needing to open up more bays in the tactical bays. |

Bump So did everyone get their Kitchen Passes? A buddy and me are gonna break in his new .50 cal both days Some of you guys need to come buy the 140 yard bay and pull the trigger a few times to give our shoulders a rest.
We're bringing 150 rounds for the break in!

Don't worry. T.J. told us to use the 140 yard bay so we don't bother the 1000 yard shooters. Besides it's a bolt gun! We won't sling any hot .50 cal brass The first day is gonna be more cleaning than shooting! |

Bump.................Is Ilikelegs coming down for this?? He pussed out. It's close to that time of the month for him. No, legs is doing the "real camping" in Olympic National Park. Are you going to ask the park ranger for another ride back to camp this time? |

No, legs is doing the "real camping" in Olympic National Park. You wouldn't have enjoyed it anyway. It involved shooters actually aiming and hitting their targets - not your cup of tea at all... Thats ok, Your style of camping is in a RV. I doubt you have ever really "camped" or could even put up a tent. |
