I went today and picked up a few pounds of Varget and a few other odds and ends. I called earlier this week and said he had a powder shipment coming in thursday and he might have 1 or 2 extra 8lb Varget. I couldn't make it before the 8lbs were gone but he did still have about 31lbs of singles after Ieft.
Anyway I started talking to the owner a little bit and he asked me how I found out about them. I said a guy at work and arfcom, then he goes into telling me about how you guys talk about the girl on here. Checking her out, etc. etc etc. so who is it

SHE IS WORTH CHECKING OUT. She sure is! She is a "10" and has a "ring" on her finger. I've been in there twice with my buddies that reload. It is next to impossible not to notice her but I'm respectful and don't gawk...too long. A 10? jesus you guys have easy standards... I think shes dating a guy but I dont think they're married and I wasnt really impressed with the dude. The girl works on weekdays and Bob (the owners father) works on saturdays. Hes a crass old straight shooting guy that was some sort of senior officer in the air force working with the missle defense system when he retired. Hes not afraid to cuss or tell you what he really feels about something and hes smarter than shit with a ton of good stories to tell. Jen (the 10) is nice but i really prefer the company of Bob. Hes a blast to jaw jack with. The owner is Brian. He is a really nice down to earth family guy that was a police officer for amost a decade and then started his own reloading business and later an accounting business. His livelyhood is in his accounting firm and 10 ring is still his hobby and chartible contribution to the shooting community (meaning i think the place only brings in enough profit to pay the rent right now). The place was started by himself and several friends out of Brian's house about a decade ago to meet the needs of themselves and friends who shoot. The business grew (slowly) and now they have a small storefront with about 60-70% of sales coming from online orders. Brian is usually there on sundays getting caught up on paperwork and doing inventory and tending to the admin side of the business. Hes extremely intelligent and knowledgable about reloading as well and is a great resource to beginning reloaders. I went in there years ago when i was starting reloading after college and liked the owner so much and what he was trying to do that i actually took a job there and worked for him for a few months before school and the police academy. I will still go in there occasionally and volunteer my time to help them get caught up on things or pick up lead cast bullet orders from the local manufacturer if they're busy. Its a real treasure to the local shooting community if it fits your specific needs. They dont have a million brands of everything in stock or wholesale prices like midway or brownells but what they dont have they will order for you. If you go into the store they carry alot of lee, hornady, and RCBS reloading equipment and speer and hornady bullets. They have just about everything you're average reloader would need in the store. I think i only had to order something for myself off of their suppliers website once and it was a random part that i wouldnt have gotten anywhere else anyway. Brian was working on setting up a new website layout with a new web server company (i offered my help and pretty much completely dropped the ball and bailed on him, still feel like shit for it too) and im not sure if its up and running yet. All of their prices now days are about the same as midways I think. Anyhow its a cool place if you're looking for some dies or a few sleeves of primers or something. If you're looking for 5,000 .224cal 55 gr FMJ's for 2% over manufacturer cost in stock you might be a little disappointed with them though. |

if you're going for something specific, call first. if you're prowling around, it's a grwat place. they price check off of Midway so if they have it you get it for less.
powder-wise, if you want something and can wait, they will try to tack it onto their next powder order. I don't think there's a charge for this and you might have to prepay, which is cool w/me. Brian was getting buyers flaking outon him when I started going in there a couple of years ago. I support the forum and my local independent(sp?)merchants whenever ppossible! |

Jen (the 10) is nice but i really prefer the company of Bob.
I have a difficult time saying anything nice about Jen. She's working in the wrong industry for sure. Asked her today whether they are an 07 FFL. "What's that?" "Never mind, when does Brian work there?" Sent the wife over for a .308 shell holder once. Came home with a .308 Norma shell holder. Sheesh, who'd have guess that I meant .308 Norma? |

This could explain why you don't think she is a 10 and worth checking out. But hey, I'm not judging. She seems to be in there helping out on weekends, the fact that she isn't as knowledgable as the the other employees/owner doesn't make her less attractive. The OP just mentioned she was attractive and she is. |
